The Grand Bahia Principe is the First Resort in the Caribbean with a Fleet of Electrical Cars

The resort is the first tourism complex in the Caribbean region to operate with electrical cars within its installations.

The Spanish-based Turiscar company, an affiliate of the Piñero Group, is in charge of the design and pre-assembly of the electric cars which are now being distributed to Jamaica, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

The cars are used in the Bahia Principe hotels, as well as in other hotels that operate in the region.

Since 2016, Turiscar has distributed a total of 318 electric cars to the chain’s hotels in Spain, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Jamaica.

The 744-room Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro Resort also features nine restaurants, three bars, spa, golf course, swimming pools, casino and aquatic park.
