The D.R. Becomes a Model for International Civil Aviation

The Organization for International Civil Aviation (OACI) recently chose the Dominican Republic as a model nation to implement the “Project to Strengthen Border Controls in the Caribbean Region.”

The project is part of the Program to Identify Travelers (ICAO-TRIP).

An international delegation visited the country to evaluate for themselves the situation of civil aviation in the country.

The final goal of these technical evaluations is to draft a Guide on Best Practices on border control management, which will be available for all OACI members.
