he Barceló chain of hotels announced that it will celebrate from October 23 to 30 its fourth annual “Barceló Bávaro Culinary Week Dominican Flavors.”
The week-long event will be held in the hotel’s Punta Cana resort. The program will include special breakfasts, lunches, dinners and innovative tastings sponsored by top-rated Dominican chefs.
The goal of the event is to familiarize international tourists who are vacationing at the world-class resort with Dominican cuisine, its ingredients and traditional recipes.
This year, Mexico will be the event’s honored guest and will featuring chef Xavier Perez Stone, who will host two special Mexican dinners.
Another important item on the agenda will be Spanish sommelier Jose Joaquin Cortes who during the seven-day event will host special wine tasting activities.
The event is sponsored by the country’s Ministry of Tourism and its special Gastronomy Department, and coordinated by the Creato Company.
