Ferry Between Santo Domino and Puerto Rico Back in Operation in May

The “Ferries del Caribe” company will once again bring together the D.R. and the neighboring island of Puerto Rico beginning this May 3 with the reopening of the very popular route with a modern and much bigger ferry boat.

The boat has full capacity to accommodate 1,750 passengers, 175 cabins, entertainment areas, duty-free stores, restaurants and the possibility of transporting your car on the ferry boat.

During the first two months of 2017, more than 9,000 Puerto Rican tourists visited the Dominican Republic through local airports. In 2016, Puerto Rico topped the list of Caribbean islands with the highest number of its citizens visiting the country. Last year, some 121,131 citizens from Puerto Rico visited the country.
