Santo Domingo’s 20th International Book Fair will be held in the capital city’s Cultural Plaza. Paraguay, the South American nation, will be the Fair’s Guest of Honor and local poet Rene del Risco Bermudez will be honored during the popular event.
Interested participants can contact Fair organizers in order to request an exhibit stand or participate in the event’s cultural activities.
The Fair’s program will include book signing events, lectures, round-table discussions, panels, writing workshops and other related activities.
The fair, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, honors Dominican writers by naming the streets of the Cultural Plaza with the names of the country’s most distinguished writers. The Plaza includes the National Library, museums and the National Theater.
Santo Domingo’s International Book Fair is considered one of the most important of its kind in the Caribbean and Latin America.
