Punta Cana’s 10th annual popular carnival will take place in the town’s “November 1 Boulevard” on March 4, starting at 3 p.m. National and international representatives from various Caribbean islands will participate in the colorful activity.
Punta Cana’s carnival celebration has become an important national and international attraction, bringing some 20,000 visitors to the country’s easternmost city to participate in the colorful festival.
The Carnival is sponsored by the Puntacana Group.
Punta Cana’s Carnival Representatives
Punta Cana’s top representatives in the local festival are headed by such carnival groups as “The Muses of Punta Cana,” “The Three Faces” and representatives from Puntacana’s International School.
The Muses consist of national and international women who live in the Punta Cana region. The Muses design their own carnival costumes and prepare their own float. Teachers and students from Punta Cana’s International School are active participants in carnival activities. Their carnival themes concentrate on protection of the environment.
The members of the “The Three Faces” carnival troupe are the traditional protectors of “The Muses.”
