Punta Cana according to tourism experts has become one of the top destinations for the Fall of 2016. According to international travel agents such as Destinia, Travelplan, Kuoni Travel, Trivago and Toprual, in response to a survey sponsored by the Efetur Travel website, Punta Cana came in second as a top destination over Thailand, Italy, New York and the Canary Islands.
According to some of the sources consulted agree that Punta Cana “as one of the two most important destinations for travelers this fall.”
The publication describes Punta Cana as a true Paradise, found at the spot where the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea meet. Visitors to Punta Cana will find dozens of top quality beachfront hotels. Eleven world-class golf courses have also made the region a popular destination.
Another important attraction in the area is the “Basílica of la Altagracia,” considered to be the Caribbean’s largest and oldest Cathedral, also has on display 18th century jewels and paintings.
“There are plenty of water parks for the little ones, clubs, casinos, and many restaurants that will fulfill the varied tastes of all travelers.”
Punta Cana is one of the most popular vacation destinations in the Caribbean and has received multiple international awards for its excellent climate, cultural activities, breathtaking landscapes, world-class beaches and golf courses, beautiful residential facilities and competitive low prices.
The region is also home to the Dominican Republic’s most important international airport, and one of the largest in the region. Today, the Punta Cana airport handles approximately 60% of all visitors traveling to the country.
