The Pearl Beach Club, in Punta Cana, was recently issued the Silver Magellan Award 2016 under the category “Destinations and Beaches” by the U.S. magazine Travel Weekly.
The award was issued taking into consideration the hotel’s modern and elegant design, which combines the beauty of nature with other elements to give the Club an exclusive flair, says Travel Weekly. The Club is open to the public.
The BO (Barcelona Origins) Restaurant, at the Catalonia Royal Bavaro Hotel in Punta Cana, was also distinguished with the Magellan Gold 2016 Award in the category “Hospitality, Luxury and Restaurant Design.”
The Catalonia Hotels & Resorts Caribe was also distinguished in the Gold Category, but in the category “Hospitality and Social Media.”
The Magellan Awards are issued every year to distinguish those hotels, tourism destinations, cruises, online travel services, airlines and airports, tour operators and ground transportation operators that provide quality service to their customers.
The awards jury charged with choosing the winners consists of experts in the field and world-renowned leaders of the international travel industry.

This beautiful facility, situated in the Cabeza de Toro area, near Punta Cana, features a total of nine swimming pools (six of them are private), a Mediterranean restaurant, a lounge, Bali beds, personalized services, beach services, four bars, a VIP and BBQ areas, free wi-fi and volleyball and beach soccer facilities.
