The festival, sponsored by the Barcelo Bavaro Hotel, will be held from November 13-20 and will feature an extensive and varied program of gastronomic activities such as haute cuisine dinners, tasting of chocolates, coffee and rum, to name just a few of the many culinary activities planned during the week.
During the scheduled week, the Barcelo Bavaro Grand Resort will provide both national and international visitors with the best Dominican cuisine has to offer.
This year, the guest country will be Peru, which will be represented by Chef Flavio Solarzano, a young native of Lima.
During the evenings guests will be able to delight in the flavors, smells, and traditions of Peru.
Subsequently, Solarzano and Dominican chef Omar Martin will bring together their vast experience during a dinner that will blend the flavors of Creole and Peruvian cuisine.
The evening promises to be unforgettable.
During this very special week, national and international chefs will also participate in various events.
Six hotels of the Barcelo chain will participate in a closing ceremony that includes a very special dinner.
