Fly-In to Montecristi, on the Country’s Northwest Region

A significant group of tourists traveled to Montecristi, on the D.R.’s northwest region, on board 10 airplanes in a tour organized by the local “El Morro Eco Adventure Hotel.” The tourists flew in from Florida, first stopping in the Bahamas and later in Montecristi, where they spent two days.

The international visitors visited the nearby mangrove channels, the Keys of the Seven Brothers, went on a motorized excursion of the region’s rural areas and pristine beaches, and visited organic banana plantations.

This is the second time this group of small-aircraft owners visit Montecristi, thanks to the facilities provided by the “Morro Eco Adventure Hotel.” Members of the group are from Florida, Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi.

The “Morro Eco Adventure Hotel” is a boutique hotel features 12 rooms, and is situated on the “El Morro National Park,” just 10 minutes from the town’s main town square.
