Punta Cana’s Colorful Carnival Will Be in March

The 9th Annual Punta Cana Carnival has become an important attraction for tourists visiting the country’s beautiful eastern region.

Some 20,000 national and international visitors line up along the Puntacana Village Boulevard to enjoy the beautiful floats and costumes.

The Carnival parade, organized by the Puntacana Group, will take place on Saturday, March 12, beginning at 3:00 p.m.

As in previous years, carnival floats and representatives from Haiti and Curacao, as well as from such local cities as La Vega, San Pedro de Macoris, San Juan de la Maguana, Barahona, Bani, Puerto Plata, Cotuí, Santiago and Santo Domingo, have confirmed their participation.

Carnival festivities are scheduled to begin the evening of March 11, where local artists will provide guests with the best Dominican and Caribbean music.
