The country’s Civil Aviation Board recently approved regular direct flights from Mexico City through Aerovias de Mexico (AEROMÉXICO) and Aeroliteral, as well as direct flights from Israel’s El-Al Airlines.
AEROMEXICO and Aeroliteral will begin regular flights fly between Mexico City – Santo Domingo – Mexico City at the end of March 2016.
Until recently anyone who wanted to travel from the D.R. to Mexico had to do fly through a third country, which often required additional visas and made traveling much more expensive.
EL AL will fly from Tel Aviv, the Israeli capital to Punta Cana, on the country’s eastern region. Charter flights are scheduled to begin in October 2016, on a B777 carrier.
