Trained inspectors from the U.S. Transportation Security Administration recently rated Santiago international airport’s security mechanisms as “very satisfactory.”
During their visit in July, the TSA team of experts carried out a thorough inspection of the airport’s security system.
Similar inspections are routinely carried out in all Dominican airports.
During the inspection the team evaluated the airport’s safety standards and procedures carried out by U.S. carriers that use these terminals.
The team also reviewed the terminal’s emergency security contingency plan.
