The Altocerro Hotel Awarded Prestigious Certificate of Excellence 2015

The Altocerro Villas Hotel & Camping, situated in the mountain town of Constanza, was recently awarded a Certificate of Excellence 2015 by TripAdvisor, one of the world’s most important travel websites.

The hotel was distinguished for its excellent customer service. The town of Constanza is situated 1,200 meters above sea level, in the very heart of the country’s central mountain region.

The town’s temperature ranges from -5 to 18 degrees Celsius.

Altocerro currently ranks second on TripAdvisor’s list of “Lodgings.”

The facility features 34 independent (one-two-three- bedroom) villas, as well as a 12-room building.

Its restaurant offers a menu featuring national and international dishes, as well as a meeting room for 360 guests. There is also a camping site and a mini-market.

Zero Degrees in the Caribbean

The central-mountain town of Constanza is the highest in the Dominican Republic, situated some 1,283 meters above sea level. The town is found at the very heart of the Caribbean’s tallest mountain range, in an incredibly beautiful valley known for its low temperatures, prosperous farming communities and scenic mountain trails.

The average annual temperature is 18 degrees Celsius, with a minimum during the winter months of -5 degrees.
