The National Council for the Disabled (CONADIS) will celebrate its First Conference on Accessible Tourism in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The event will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Santo Domingo.
The goal of the conference is to promote accessible tourism facilities in the Dominican Republic and other Latin American and Caribbean countries.
National and international speakers will present regional success stories, best practices and current trends in making sure that tourism facilities cater to the needs of the disabled.
Representatives from Latin America and Caribbean tourism industries, and other related agencies, will also participate.
The Conference is co-sponsored by the Office of the President of the Dominican Republic, the Ministries of Tourism, Foreigners Affairs, the Office of the First Lady and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
