Jarabacoa, situated in the very heart of the country’s centrally located mountain chain, has a new website where visitors can find out more about this beautiful mountain town. The new bilingual website is sponsored by the Jarabacoa Eco-Tourism Cluster features 148 interesting local destinations, including spas, various accommodations possibilities – from eco-lodges to villas – extreme sports, a butterfly park, restaurants, including the Caribbean’s only rotating restaurant.
The website also provides information on eco-trails, biodiversity projects, bird watching, culture and art, as well as information on transportation facilities and security in the region. Also, a new tourist map in English and Spanish, with a French version on the way, and a new guidebook.
According to Cluster president Amos Martinez this new and updated information will provide tourists the latest information on this important mountain destination. The website was made possible, explained Mr. Martinez, through grants issued by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the National Competitiveness Council (CNC), and the Ministry of Tourism.
