Exciting Whale Watching Tour in Country’s North Coast

The Sublime Samana Hotel & Residences – one of the country’s top boutique hotels – recently introduced exciting whale-watching tours as part of the resort’s activities program.

The humpback whales travel to the country’s north coast Atlantic coast during the first three months of the year to mate and give birth in the warm waters of the Caribbean.

The boutique hotel offers guests three-days/two nights packages which includes breakfast, round trip transportation from the hotel to the nearby northeast town of Samana, and a catamaran tour to see the visiting whales.

The hotel also organizes horseback riding, snorkeling, diving, sailing, hiking, mountain biking and hiking to the nearby “Los Haitises” National Park.

The whale watching season runs from January to March, turning the waters off the country’s north coast into the official Caribbean destination to observe these sea mammals up close.

The Sublime Samana is located in the idyllic Bay of Coson in the community of Las Terrenas, in Samana Province – on the country’s northeast region.

It is a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, featuring 28 suites and private villas, as well as the Bitro and Beachside Grill restaurants. For more information: www.sublimesamana.com.
