Puntacana Resort: Best green resort in the Caribbean

The Puntacana Resort & Club has been chosen as the Best Green Resort in the Caribbean, by the World Travel Awards 2014.

The award was presented during the recently held awards ceremony, held in London.

The world-famous Casa de Campo resort, also situated in the Dominican Republic’s eastern region, was selected in the Best Resort in the Dominican Republic and Best Spa Resort categories.

The Best Hotel in the Dominican Republic was awarded to the chosen the Hilton Santo Domingo Hotel and the Sivory Punta Cana won in the Best Hotel Suite category.

The World Travel Awards recognizes excellence in all sectors of the tourism industry.

The winners are chosen through the votes issued by thousands of sector professionals.


In 2013, the Puntacana Resort & Club Resort received the highly prestigious Adrian Award as a true Leader in Sustainable Tourism.

The Adrian Awards are issued to the various segments of the tourism industry, including hotels, airlines, cruise lines, car rental companies, cruise ships, credit card companies, and many more.

The resort, considered to be one of the very best tourism facilities in the entire Caribbean region, features over 1,500 villas and luxury residences, five golf courses (three world-famous courses), a cruise port, international airport, a marina for 350 boats up to 250 feet in length, and a wide variety of sports facilities.

Hilton Santo Domingo Hotel

Situated in Santo Domingo’s beautiful seaside boulevard, this 228-room hotel features an outdoor swimming pool on the 7th floor, a sun terrace, a bar and restaurant, and the bar “Sol y Sombra” with themed evening buffets.

Sivory Punta Cana

This adults-only 55-room facility features several restaurants and a full service spa.
