The famed Caribbean resort Casa de Campo was recently chosen as the best “Golf Resort of the Year 2014,” in the “World Challenge” category, at the annual International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) award ceremony.
The resort, situated in the Dominican Republic’s eastern region, is famous for its four world-class golf courses, all designed by renowned architect Pete Dye.
The IAGTO award recognizes the best golf resorts in the world.
Winners are chosen by the votes of more than 500 golf tour operators in 62 countries.
Voters must take into consideration certain criteria, such as customer satisfaction, quality of the golf course, accommodations, quality-price standards, among others.
Casa de Campo is one of the Caribbean’s highest rated resorts, and its golf offer includes a total of 90 hotels distributed in five courses.
All of the golf courses have been designed by world-famous architect Pete Dye.
