The Grand Paradise Samana Hotel recently reopened, featuring completely refurbished areas and lush tropical gardens.
Situated in the north coast beach of “Las Galeras,” one of the Dominican Republic’s most beautiful beaches, the facility is bordered on both sides by two important protected areas.
Visitors will enjoy a nearby natural aquarium and daily boat tours to some of the D.R.’s most beautiful and unspoiled beaches.
The hotel’s recent overall reconstruction process will make visitors feel as if they are staying at a special destination in Paradise.
The hotel also offers daily boat rides to nearby difficult to reach pristine beaches.
Visitors will marvel at the truly impressive beauty of “Rincon Beach,” perhaps one of the Caribbean’s most beautiful beaches.
This all-inclusive 370-room facility recently went through a five-million dollar renovation process, where all hotel areas – including rooms – were completely redone.
The hotel’s reception area has been completely refurbished, and now features a tropical terrace with a soothing nearby fountain.
The Grand Paradise Samana now has a meeting room with capacity for 200, with all the necessary equipment to hold conferences and special events.
The hotel’s buffet restaurant “El Aserradero” and its beachfront restaurant – surrounded by majestic palm trees – were also completely redone.
Both restaurant menus now include a variety of traditional Dominican dishes. Lovers of Italian and seafood dishes will enjoy the variety of dishes offered in the hotel’s Michelangelo and Sea Scape restaurants, respectively.
Daily Fun Activities
The facility will provide tourists with daily activities, such as scuba lessons in the swimming pool, aerobics on the beach and swimming pool, non-motorized watersports including windsurfing, snorkeling, kayaking, and boat excursions.
There are nightly shows in the hotel’s theater and dancing in the nearby disco.
A Family-Oriented Hotel
The Grand Paradise Samana has special programs for the visiting family. The “Kiko’s Kids Club” will provide visiting parents with the perfect place to leave their children while they enjoy other activities.
The nearby beach is perfect for young children because of its shallow crystal-clear waters.
Visiting Nearby Exotic Beaches
One of the hotel’s most important attractions are the spectacularly beautiful nearby beaches, such as the “Playa Rincon” beach, reachable by local boats. The beach is fabulous and features two nearby fresh-water streams and excellent typical Dominican dishes in quaint beachfront restaurants.
The Grand Paradise Samana will provide guests with daily 15-minute boat rides to “Playa Rincon,” one of the country’s most beautiful and secluded beaches. Guests can also drive to the beach, situated some 30 minutes away by car.
Aquarium and Bird Watching
The hotel is surrounded by Capes Cabron and Samana, two important protected areas. And, the region is also a true paradise for bird watchers. Some 40 bird species have been clearly identified in the region.
It is also the only hotel in the country with an aquarium. The Kaio Natural Aquarium is one of the region’s most important attractions.
The aquarium was built to protect the prolific marine wildlife and to provide visitors with a rare glimpse of the various species living in their natural environment.
Situated some 300 meters from the Grand Paradise Samana beach, the two-meter deep tank is home to some 120 marine species. Guests can snorkel and even swim in the aquarium for a US$10 fee. For more information: www.amhsamarina.com.
