American Airlines Distinguished for its Excellent Customer Service in Santiago’s International Airport

The airline’s terminal in Santiago’s International Airport was distinguished with the “Customer Service Cup,” issued by AA to its best airport terminals.

American Airlines operates two daily flights between Santiago, the country’s second largest city, and Miami International Airport.

The Customer Service Cup is awarded to American Airlines operations in Canada, the United States, Asia, Europe and Latin America.

Prize recipients must meet the criteria established by American Airlines Group, AA’s company, which evaluates on-time schedules and handling of luggage.

This is the second time the Dominican Republic has received this recognition. In 2010 Punta Cana’s International Airport was distinguished for its excellent customer service.


American Airlines operates two daily flights from Santiago to Miami International Airport.


The Cibao International Airport serves Santiago, the country’s second largest city. Last year the terminal handled 532,000 passengers, 168,000 were international tourists.
