The listing situates the Dominican Republic in fourth place, surpassing such traditional destinations as Italy, Jamaica, France, Cuba, Israel and Germany.
Canadian reservations to the Dominican Republic jumped by 15% between April 2012 and March 2014.

During the January-April period of this year approximately 399,591 Canadian tourists visited the D.R. During 2013 some 684,071 Canadians visited the country through local international airports.
