The Dominican Republic will be the guest of honor in the 33rd annual ANATO 2014 tourism fair, to be held in Colombia from February 26-28.
More than 30 nations from all continents, including representatives from Colombia’s 32 departments and more than one hundred travel agencies, hotels, airlines and tour operators, are scheduled to participate in this important annual regional event.
The overall program will include the eighth annual Colombia Travel Mart, an event which brings together representatives from the international business community including 107 buyers from Europe, 108 from South America, 91 from North America, 54 from Central America and the Caribbean and 28 from Asia and the Pacific.
Some 260 prominent Colombian exporters have also confirmed their participation.
The goal of the fair is to position the brand and image of the exhibitor, and promote new tourism-related products and services in a strictly professional environment.
The 30,000 square meter exhibition center has plenty of space to house the 700 exhibitors scheduled to participate.
Headed by the Ministry of Tourism, the Dominican participants expected to participate in the ANATO 2014 event are the Tourism Cluster of Puerto Plata, Santo Domingo’s Hotel Association, the Caribbean Tourism Exchange and AERODOM, the country’s airport consortium.
Participants will also include Viva Wyndham Resorts, Amhsa Marina Hotels & Resorts, Barceló Hotels & Resorts, Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, Vik Hotels Group, Palladium Hotels Group, Be Live Hotels, Domitur, Found Trip Tour Operator, Accor Hotels and Catalonia Hotels.
