Punta Cana Will Celebrate Carnival on March 8

The Bavaro Hotel, one of Punta Cana’s most important tourism facilities, announced that the seventh annual “Punta Cana Carnival” will be held on Saturday, March 8, beginning at 4:00 p.m., in Puntacana Village’s main boulevard.  The boulevard is situated just minutes away from the region’s international airport.

This year Carnival participants will include representatives from the country’s various regions, and all will represent their respective traditions, music and colors.

The “Coral Muses” Carnival Troupe, the flagship troupe of the Punta Cana Carnival, is one of the most popular of all the troupes that participate in the festivities.

Carnival representatives from Guadalupe, Haiti and Curacao are also expected to participate.  Carnival music will be provided by well-known music groups from the Dominican Republic, Spain, Haiti and other Caribbean islands.

The Punta Cana Carnival is sponsored by the Puntacana Group, the country’s most important tourism group which also owns and operates the Punta Cana International Airport.
