The recently inaugurated Westin Puntacana Resort & Club is the new jewel of Dominican hospitality.
This new member of the country’s tourism offer is NOT an all-inclusive facility, and is situated in the country’s easternmost region.
The 200-room facility features 10 suites and 10 VIP rooms, a convention center with capacity for 400 guests, and many other facilities and features.
The new facility is situated in the “Playa Blanca” beach in the Puntacana Resort & Club, just minutes from the Punta Cana’s International Airport.
The new hotel also offers special packages and areas for social events such as weddings, a kids club, restaurant, grill, lobby and cigar bar, and all the other amenities offered by the Westin brand.
Guests have access to the Puntacana Resort & Club facilities, including access to the “La Cana” and “Los Corales” golf courses.
The hotel was built at a cost of US$60 million and was inaugurated this past December by Dominican President Danilo Medina.
Other nearby hotels are the Tortuga Bay Boutique Hotel, one of the country’s finest facilities featuring 13 luxury villas (offering from one to four bedrooms), the 124-room Four Points by Sheraton which opened last year in the Puntacana Village, a community with a large commercial plaza and middle and upper class residences, situated just five minutes from Punta Cana’s international airport.
