Renovation of Renaissance Jaragua Hotel Valued at US$30 Million

The Renaissance Santo Domingo Jaragua Hotel & Casino, one of the top hotels in the Dominican Republic’s capital city, will undergo a top-to-bottom renovation process valued at US$30 million.

The hotel’s popular casino will remain open during the renovation process since it was recently renovated at a cost of US$10 million.

The renovation process is scheduled to begin on April 22, 2014.  The hotel is scheduled to reopen on February 22, 2015.

The facility’s 300 rooms will be completely redecorated, as well as all public areas and meeting rooms.

Casino Will Remain Open

Recently renovated at a cost of US$10 million, the casino will continue with its daily operations.  Since the casino has an independent entrance from the hotel, the renovation process will not impact the casino’s routine. The Casino Jaragua is the largest and most active casino in all of Santo Domingo.
