The 16th annual International Book Fair of Santo Domingo will be held from April 22 to May 5, at the “Plaza de la Cultura Juan Pablo Duarte,” situated in the very heart of the country’s capital city.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Culture and, this year, Ecuador will be the guest nation.
For fifteen days, the fair will provide visitors with lectures, exhibits and special events that will feature writers and artists from Ecuador.
The fair will also celebrate the bicentennial of Juan Pablo Duarte, the Dominican Republic’s founding father.
The fair takes place in seven large buildings which will be run by the Ministry of Culture. All together some 220 individual stands, featuring national and international exhibitors, will participate in the annual event.
