The Dominican Ministry of Tourism recently renewed, for a fourth consecutive year, an agreement with Air France whereby the airline will continue to promote the Dominican Republic – jointly with the Ministry of Tourism – in France and 20 other destinations in Europe where the airline has a presence.
The contract amount was signed for 477,000 Euros.
Air France offers daily service from Paris to the Dominican Republic, offering connecting flights from Amsterdam, Stockholm, Frankfurt, London, Moscow, Prague, Warsaw and Zurich.
The partnership stipulates the presentation of an ad campaign in 17 European countries, billboards in 10 cities and ads that will run in movie theaters in nine French cities.
The campaign will run in Germany, Spain, Denmark, Finland, France, England, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland and the Ukraine.
The billboards will be placed in Amsterdam, Stockholm, Frankfurt, London, Moscow, Prague, Warsaw and Zurich. The movie theater ads will be seen in theaters in Paris, Brumath, Lile, Marseille, Nantes Rennes, Strasbourg and Toulouse.
“This partnership, with the most important airline of France, is aimed at promoting the Dominican Republic [as a tourism destination] in Europe.
The campaign is important for the strength, scope and prestige of Air France,” said Francisco Javier Garcia, Minister of Tourism.
“I am very pleased with the signing of this agreement because it allows us to promote the Dominican Republic in the European countries, in order to increase frequencies to that destination in the winter season 2013 – 2014” said Veronique Moulin, Manager of International Road Air France to the Caribbean and French Guiana.
