Third “DR OPEN 2012” golf tournament to be Held at Hard Rock Hotel

The third annual “DR OPEN 2012” tournament will be held November 5-11 in Punta Cana’s “Cana Bay” golf course.

Organizers announced that 144 American professional players will compete for a grand prize of US$125,000.

The tournament is organized by the Dominican Federation of Golf Federation. An additional 200 amateur golfers are also expected to participate in the annual event.
The Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana, and its 18-hole golf course designed by the famous Jack Nicklaus, will be the event’s official host.

The tournament will be played in the Stableford scoring system at the amateur level, with the exception of those ranked in the A category. As in the professional tournaments, these players will win depending on their overall scores.
The tournament includes three days of practice rounds, from November 5-7. The tournament will take place from November 8 -11. For more information, please consult:
