Eight hotels from the Punta Cana-Bavaro tourism region, one from La Romana-Bayahíbe, and three from the northeast province of Samaná, were rated as outstanding by the readers of the tourism-oriented website “Hoteles.com.” All received a score which ranged from 4.5-5.
In the “Excellent” category, ranked between 4.0 and 4.5 points, 13 hotels were included. “Hoteles.com” also includes “Good” (between 3.0 and 4.0) and “Reasonable” (less than 3.0) categories.
Punta Cana
Outstanding: Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana, Gran Bahia Principe Ambar, Karibo Punta Cana -Karibo Suites, Grand Palladium Palace, NH Punta Cana, The Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real Resort, Barcelo Bavaro Beach and Tortuga Bay Hotel.

Samaná
Outstanding: Gran Bahia Principe Cayacoa, Albachiara Hotel and Hotel Alisei (Las Terrenas)
Excellent: Vista Mare Samaná, Grand Paradise Amhsa Marina, Hotel Residence Playa Colibri and Balcones del Atlantico All-Suites.
Puerto Plata
