The sixteenth edition of the Caribbean Tourism Exchange will be held from June 28 to 30 at the Dominican Fiesta Hotel Convention Center, situated in Santo Domingo. This year, the fair’s invited guest is Haiti, which shares the island of Hispaniola with the Dominican Republic. This international event is organized in order to bring buyers and sellers from the Caribbean, Central America and South America together.
Admission is free and participants will include tour operators, wholesalers, travel agents, cruise lines representatives, hotels, airlines, ecotourism agencies and projects, tourism agencies, media outlets, financial institutions, universities, suppliers of inputs and rent car, among others.
This year the fair will center its activities on the organization of tourism-related business meetings; the promotion and sale of hotel-related goods and services; and tourism real estate projects. Buyers and sellers, project developers, tourism brokers, promoters, and industry suppliers will all come together during the fair.
The event also organizes trade shows with the participation of hotel chains, airlines, cruise ship companies, sports-oriented events, golf, latest tourism offers, ecotourism projects, gastronomy and cultural tourism.
One of the fair’s main attraction is the “Local Artists and Artisans Fair” and a much-awaited “Dominican Food Festival.
