Pat’e Palo is Santo Domingo’s most popular restaurant

The Pat’e Palo European Brasserie is number one on the list of favorite Santo Domingo restaurants, according to users of the popular travel website TripAdvisor.

Dominicans and international visitors alike have turned this restaurant into one of the city’s most popular eateries.

The restaurant is situated in the heart of Santo Domingo’s Colonial Zone, built by the Spanish settlers in the 16th century.

The list also includes other popular eating places around the city of Santo Domingo, such as:  the “Barra Payan,” open 24-7, this cafeteria is famous for serving the best natural tropical juices and sandwiches; the “Cuchara de Madera,” a bakery; David Crocket Restaurant, famous steakhouse; and “Yaya Cocina de Autor.”

Also on the TripAdvisor list: Pepperoni Restaurant, international cuisine; Yakomo, best sushi in town; Meson de Bari, La Taberna de Basque, both in the Colonial Zone; Adrian Tropical, for excellent Dominican food; Sully, fresh seafood restaurant; the Meson de la Cava, Mix, Yao Asian Cuisine, Fellini, Sophia and La Briciola.
