The hotel is situated in Santo Domingo’s scenic seaside boulevard, the Malecon, overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
The facility features 196 seaside deluxe rooms, including 29 suites and a presidential suite. It is managed by the US-based Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts.
Also on the list, according to the magazine, is the Renaissance Jaragua Hotel & Casino, a five- star facility also located on the Malecon with 300 rooms, some with spectacular ocean view.
The Hilton Santo Domingo, a relatively young hotel since it only opened some five years ago, is also strategically located on the Malecon. It offers 228 rooms.
Also included is the Holiday Inn Santo Domingo, catering to the business sector, and located in the very heart of the city, with 141 rooms.
Last but not least on the list is the Meliá Santo Domingo, owned by the Meliá chain of hotels, and also located on the Malecon. This five-star hotel offers 245 rooms, including suites, junior suites and one presidential suite.
