Ana Garcia-Pascual Sotoca is the new executive director of the Romana-Bayahibe Hotels Association. Her new responsibilities include managing programs involving sustainable tourism, environmental issues, community development, as well as the marketing and public relations aspects involving the organization.
The Association represents all hotels situated in the La Romana-Bayahibe tourism community, situated two hours east of Santo Domingo, the capital city.
In addition, she will serve as executive director of the La Romana-Bayahibe Tourism Cluster.
Members of the Association include the 532-room, five-star Oasis Canoa hotel; the Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach and Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace hotels, both four-star facilities offering 530 and 330 rooms, respectively.
Members also include the four-star, 404- room Catalonia Gran Dominicus Hotel; the five-star, 501-room Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus Hotel; world-famous resort Casa de Campo; La Estancia Golf; Bahia Principe La Romana; Dreams La Romana and Tropical Tour hotels.
