Viva Wyndham ITS Red Star Receives Award

Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace was awarded the “Red Star ITS”, issued by the German tour operator “Rewe Touristik.” The award is given to the best and most popular hotels around the world.  The tour operator’s main focus is on three and four-star hotels located throughout the world.

The “Red Star ITS” award is based on the rating, recommendations and level of satisfaction expressed by visiting clients. The ITS is applied to a wide range of hotels worldwide and is owned by REWE, a leading travel and tourism agency that brought in 4.4 billion euros in revenues during 2010.

Last year alone the REWE tourism division handled more than six million customers who purchased their vacation packages through IT’S, as well as through the Jahn Reisen and Tjaereborg agencies. The company also caters to individual long distance travel packages, marketed through Dertour, Merirer’s Weltresen, and the ADAC Reisen agencies.

Other award recipients, aside from the Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace, situated on the east coast of the Dominican Republic, included the Viva Wyndham Azteca and Viva Wyndham Maya, both situated in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

The Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace features 330 rooms, all facing the Caribbean Sea, and offers four restaurants, three bars, a disco and diving center, excursion programs, a spa, and many other amenities.  Viva Resorts is a business group based in the Dominican Republic that develops, manages and markets hotels in the Caribbean.
