Condor Airlines recently announced a weekly flight between Vienna, Austria, to Punta Cana International Airport. During the 2011-2012 winter seasons Condor is scheduled to land in Punta Cana’s international airport every Wednesday, returning to Vienna that same day.
The German carrier also announced that it will use a 270-passenger Boeing 767-300 in this route. The Dominican Ministry of Tourism reported that 26 flights have been scheduled through April 30, 2012. The world-famous Thomas Cook tour operator is responsible for the flights. During the 2011 January-September period more than six thousand Austrian tourists visited Punta Cana, in comparison to 10,114 during all of 2010.
