Convention Hotels for All Budgets

The Dominican Republic has a wide range of convention centers from which to choose from.  Convention centers are equipped to handle large events for thousands of attendees, or luxury boutique hotels for small executive meetings.  Aside from the regional convention centers, the capital city of Santo Domingo also has interesting convention facilities.  The US-based Elite Meetings Company, which monitors and certifies convention centers throughout the world, currently, lists 23 convention centers in the Dominican Republic (  The following listing provides information on some of the country’s most important convention offers.

BARCELO HOTELS. The Barcelo Bavaro Beach Resort & Convention Center is one of the Caribbean’s largest and most modern centers.  It is situated in the Punta Cana area, on the country’s easternmost region.

In Santo Domingo, the five-star Dominican Fiesta Hotel & Casino is located in one of the city’s most elegant neighborhoods.  The facility can accommodate up to 2,500 persons in its convention areas.
