The French airline XL Airways announced that it will be handling 126 flights into Punta Cana’s international airport. In total, the airline is offering 34 more flights than the number handled last year. Another airline offering services to Punta Cana is Air France, with 82 scheduled flights for this summer.
Between January and May some 134,000 French citizens visited the country, representing 7.8% of the 1.7 million tourists that visited the country during this period. France is currently the third largest tourism market for the Dominican Republic.
