The transition from the Palace Resorts to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino has been successfully completed, announced Frank Maduro, Vice President for Marketing for Palace Resorts, the Mexican hotel chain that owns the resort. Situated in Punta Cana, this is the Hard Rock’s first all-inclusive hotel facility.
During the recently held Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange (DATE 2011), sponsored by the Association of Hotels and Restaurants of the Dominican Republic (ASONAHORES) and held in Santo Domingo during the last week of April, Maduro explained the various projects that the Punta Cana facility has in store. First to be announced is the Jack Nicklaus Golf Academy, which will complement the “Cana Bay Palace” golf course, designed by the world famous championship golfer. This particular golf course will be used by pro golfers and amateurs alike. Also on schedule will be monthly concerts featuring international artists. Denisse Williams, Grammy award winning singer, will open this important series of concerts.
The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino features a 65,500 square meter Convention Center, with capacity for five thousand people. The Center is equipped with the latest technology for conference centers, and is designed to accommodate even the most complex of events.
The hotel features 11 restaurants, eight outdoor (seaside) swimming pools, three swimming pools facing a nearby lake, three children’s pools, a casino, night club, a 1,200 seat amphitheater, spa, gymnasium and a kids club (4-12 years). Also, an Arcade Center for teenagers, two tennis courts, mini-golf, volleyball and soccer areas, beach club, driving range, billiards, wall climbing, biking, ping pong tables, and other assorted games.
